The Salvage Yard is a Christian Church founded in 2006 by a small group of families and teenagers. Although we are very traditional in our beliefs, we are unconventional in our worship and defintion of Christianity.
Quite simply, our purpose is to love God, love others, and serve the world. We belive this is Jesus' teaching as found in Matthew 22: 34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37 Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it:" Love your neighbor as yourself." 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.
Christianity is a relationship with Jesus and a relationship with other followers. It is all about the family of believers. We avoid traditions, and strive to stay connected to God, allow him to lead this body as he desires. No two services are ever the same, Church should be exciting, dynamic, and purposeful.
What is a Christian?
A Christian is someone who has accepted Christ as the Son of God, confessed this, repented of thier ways, and been baptized for forgiveness of sins in accordance to God's commands.
Life after this is about building a relationship with God and his family. It is about restoring hope, trust, and joy, in a very difficult world.

The Sunday night, Rock the House worship service was begun with youth in mind. The professional Christian rock band sets the tone for an uninhibited, active worship time. The teaching is geared towards problems youth face today. Adults are welcome, but get ready for the experience of your life.
Our Youth have a dynamic, dramatic dance and drama team named Deluge comprised of young people with the desire to share the Gospel in a unique form. They have traveled throughout Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, and performed for several high schools.
Our Youth also have a strength team named The Junkyard Dogs that emphasizes the power of God in their lives and powerfully presents the gospel as they rip phone books in two, bend steel rebar, break baseball bats, and drive nails through wood and fring pans with nothing but their bare hands
If you have a student, you need to bring them to be a part of something good for them, and effective in changing their lives for eternity.

Friday, February 10th at 7 pm the Salvage Yard will have a Valentine's Prom. Cost is $15/person or $20/couple and includes dinner and dancing. The theme is "Midnight in Paris".
